Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer in-person or online tutoring?
We are a remote service. Being remote means you have access to a large variety of teachers; it makes it easier for us to find the right match for you! We have found that online tutoring can be just as effective as in person tutoring. Plus, everyone stays safe while learning.
Is our tutoring one-on-one or with a group of other students?
Most of our tutoring lessons are one-to-one. Occasionally, at the request of students, we may arrange for a small group tutoring session. Studies show that frequent tutoring sessions, one-on-one and 2:1, is optimal for effective learning.
What subjects do you offer tutoring in?
We offer tutoring in a variety of subjects, including The College Process and Life Skills. Our most in-demand subjects are Math, English, Test Prep and Science.
Is there walk-in tutoring?
Since we are a remote tutoring company, we do not offer drop-in services.
Who are your tutors?
Our tutors are educators: professors, coaches, former and current teachers. Our team is made up of professionals from various disciplines, experienced experts in their field.
Are your tutors flexible with tutoring days and times?
Yes, most of our tutors are full-time educators and part-time tutors, so everyone understands that flexibility is vital to a tutor-student relationship.
What can I expect from my tutoring sessions?
Your assigned tutor will meet you on an online platform where you will build upon a foundation for your lessons. Your tutor will be ready to support you in any area you need, whether that is Test Prep, Homework Help, Executive Functioning skills and more. We take the time to understand your learning style so that everyone is on the same page.
How can I prepare for my tutoring session?
Being a successful student takes place inside and outside of the classroom. You can prepare by showing up to your classes, taking notes and identifying areas you struggle with. You should also attempt to complete your work before the lessons so you can be prepared to present questions to your tutor. Lastly, come prepared with all the necessary materials, such as readings, worksheets and writing tools.
